PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Urgent care centers and drug stores are competing directly with the traditional doctor's office.

The patient care landscape has changed dramatically in just a few decades. As a growing number of doctors have given up individual practices to retire or become employed by large health care systems, urgent care centers with large corporate backings have popped up to fill a gap.
