PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men have been charged after police said they were caught illegally dumping hundreds of tires in a SEPTA train station parking lot in North Philadelphia.
Close to midnight Monday, police officers spotted 52-year-old Charles Arttaway unloading between 200 and 350 tires from a U-Haul truck and onto the lot behind the station at Broad Street and Indiana Avenue.
The other man, 68-year-old Paul Gamble, was operating the U-Haul, police said.
The pair face several charges, including criminal mischief and conspiracy.
Police said they are looking into whether that truck is connected to a separate dumping incident.
