19-year-old arrested for allegedly starting 3 separate fires in Woodbury

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A 19-year-old suspected of starting three fires in Woodbury earlier this month has been arrested.

According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Michael Lopez-Medina is linked to a car fire along Salem Avenue, a shed fire at Carriage House Apartments, and one at a vacant building that housed the Sketch Club Players theater.

Each incident occurred within just days of each other, beginning on Feb. 1 and ending on Feb. 7.

Lopez-Medina is facing several charges, including aggravated arson and assault for a firefighter-related injury.

He's currently being held in the Salem County Correctional Facility.
