PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing mother and her infant daughter.

They were last seen Wednesday morning in the Manayunk-Roxborough area.

Officials say 27-year-old Amber Nichols and her two-month-old daughter Sophia Watson left the 4100 block of Freeland Street near Shurs Lane around 6 a.m. Wednesday in a Silver Honda Accord.

The vehicle has a Pennsylvania license plate with tag number LHT-7215. Police said they could be heading to Illinois or to the Allegheny or Kensington areas.

Police say Amber is five feet, seven inches tall, 160 pounds with a medium build, light complexion, blonde hair, green eyes with a feather tattoo behind left ear and a removed-piercing scar by left eye. Sophia is said to be two feet tall, 16 pounds with light complexion, green eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with information on the mother and daughter’s whereabouts is asked to call the Northwest Detectives Division at 215-686-3353.
