PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The MLB All-Star Village is open, and hundreds of fans lined up outside at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Sunday to explore the attraction.
The village boasts 500,000 square feet of space, and features two baseball diamonds, interactive displays, VR experiences, and the world’s largest baseball.
“If you are a baseball, softball, bat-and-ball person, this is where you want to be,” said David James with Major League Baseball.
Philly MLB legends were also in attendance, with Hall-of-Famers like Cole Hamels and Carlos Ruiz chatting with fans.
The convention also features exhibits of Philly baseball artifacts, like Trey Turner and Kyle Schwarber’s recent City Connect jerseys.
The All-Star Village will be open through Tuesday, July 14, when the All-Star Game takes place at Citizens Bank Park.
