PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Montgomery County health officials say an unvaccinated child is confirmed to have had measles recently. Warning of potential spread, they are asking people who may have come in contact with the child to monitor themselves for symptoms.

Officials say they're completing contact tracing in coordination with the child's last known locations as well as their guardian.

Through contact tracing, they say the child visited the following locations with their family while infectious:

Bryn Mawr Hospital Emergency Room
July 20, from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
130 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr

Costco Wholesale
July 20, from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
740 Upper State Road, North Wales

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Emergency Department
July 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
3401 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia

Walmart Supercenter
July 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
1515 Bethlehem Pike, Hatfield

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Middleman Family Pavilion Emergency Department
July 23, from 9:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
550 South Goddard Boulevard, King of Prussia

People who were at those locations at the same time may have been exposed — and are urged to monitor themselves for illness with a fever or an unexplained rash appearing seven to 21 days after their exposure.

Anyone with symptoms is asked to stay at home and call their health care provider immediately.

If anyone who may have been exposed is pregnant, has an infant, has a weakened immune system, or is not vaccinated, officials suggest they also contact a health care provider.
