Vaccine incentive: Montco clinic offering chance to win free meat for a year

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — If you haven’t received the COVID-19 vaccine yet and your affinity for meat is akin to Ron Swanson, keep reading.

The Montgomery County Immunization Coalition is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday where participants can enter to win free meat for a year — enough to feed a family of four.

People 12 and older are eligible for shots, but only adults 21 and older who get vaccinated can enter the free meat drawing. Pre-registration for the clinic is required.

All attendees will also get a free lunch — burger, chips and water, and other giveaways.

The coalition is partnering with Montgomery County Community College, GIANT Pharmacy and JBS Foods in Souderton, which is providing the meat.

The clinic will take place Friday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Montgomery County Community College in Pottstown, in the South Hall Community Room.

This may not be the most sought-after raffle for vegans and vegetarians, but unvaccinated herbivores are still encouraged to attend and get their shots.
