MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA (KYW Newsradio) — Aaron Deshong, a 49-year-old Montgomery County man, has been charged with shooting and killing his brother and mother.

Officials say it happened Sunday evening in a home he shared with his mother along Gravel Pike in Perkiomen Township.

According to the criminal complaint, Aaron called an FBI Threat Assessment Center around 5 p.m. that day, saying he’s been “living on the edge” since his father died and that his mother and brother were in the kitchen but couldn’t come to the phone. When asked if they were unharmed, the complaint says Aaron kept answering, “That’s a good question.”

State police got to the home while he was still on the phone with the FBI. They found Aaron in the garage and took him into custody.

His brother, 53-year-old Adam Deshong of Devon, and his mother, 74-year-old Wanda Deshong, were found dead in the kitchen with their cause of death listed as gunshot wounds.

Police say a gun was found in Aaron’s closet with four spent shell casings.

He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and related charges and is awaiting arraignment at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
