COLLEGEVILLE, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — A 48-year-old Montgomery County man was arrested earlier this week and charged with 150 counts of possession of child sex abuse material after police were tipped off to an upload to his Dropbox account.
Albert Stroble, of Lucia Lane in Collegeville was arrested Tuesday by Lower Providence Police.
Charging documents reveal that authorities were tipped off to Stroble by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a file uploaded to Stroble’s Dropbox on Jan. 12 that appeared to be CSAM.
Lower Providence police said the file is an explicit video of a girl between the ages of eight-to-10 years old with her hands restrained and a belt around her neck.
The affidavit of probable cause said Stroble told police in a voluntary interview that he’d engaged in “taboo” conversations online with some focusing on children and incest.
Police said they found two other files in Stroble’s dropbox account and seized his laptop which they said is associated with his Dropbox account.
Stroble is free on 10% of a $300,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 28.
