DARBY (KYW Newsradio) — A mother and son have been arrested and charged in connection with a gun incident in Darby on Wednesday night, where bullets were fired through the inside dividing wall shared by two row homes.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said that police officers responded to a call about shots being fired along the 200 block of Mulberry Street near Wycombe Avenue.
"As officers came out to investigate, they were confronted by neighbors, one in particular who said, 'Someone just shot through my house,'” said Stollsteimer.
“The victim in this case had to cower in her own house, because of the weapons of war that this man was wielding next door to her.”
Stollsteimer said the woman was on the floor behind furniture as bullets pierced through an inside dividing wall coming from the neighboring rowhouse.

No one was hurt.
Dajuan Andrews, 24, was arrested and charged along with his mother, Janell Smart, 39.
“My understanding is she refused to cooperate (and) gave conflicting, I would say at best, information to the officers," said Stollsteimer.
"They had to get, and they appropriately got, a search warrant.”
Two high power rifles, two hand guns and ammunition were displayed on a table at a press conference about the shooting at the Darby Borough Police Department.

“As you see, there are an array of weapons that were seized after a young man, for some unknown reason, decides to shoot at his neighbors," said Stollsteimer.
The defendants are in jail on $250,000 cash bail each. Officials say the motive is unclear at this point.
“We will continue, as we prosecute this case, to probably learn more information on what happened," said Stollsteimer.
"What we do know is that these were the weapons that were used to commit the crime."
