PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been charged with murder for a crash that killed three people nearly two years ago in West Philadelphia.

On Monday, District Attorney Larry Krasner detailed the August 2022 accident when now 21-year-old Myzeh Ross raced through a red light in his Dodge Charger on 52nd and Walnut Street at 3 a.m. and crashed into the side of a Lyft.

Three people died from the impact — 58-year-old Lisa Crump, 42-year-old William Wilcox, and 16-year-old Ledonis Bryant. Two of the victims were inside the Lyft and one was in the car with Ross. His car was packed with eight people at the time of the incident.

A few months after the crash, Ross turned himself in, according to our partners at NBC10.

Krasner repeatedly called the crash horrific and reckless but said justice was served.

Ross was found guilty of three counts of third-degree murder and related charges.

He will be sentenced in March.

Myzeh Jesse Ross was found guilty by Judge Barbara McDermott in January 2024 of third-degree murder, vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and a number of other charges. He was acquitted of reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. In May, McDermott sentenced Ross to six to 12 years in prison.
