PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In Delaware, health care providers are about to get some relief with $100 million in CARES Act funding heading their way.
Delaware Department of Health and Social Services Secretary Molly Magarik said health care providers in the state will be receiving $100 million in CARES Act funding for PPE, technology upgrades, environmental modifications, and other needs.
There are specific categories of spending, which include nursing homes and hospital systems.
"We've heard repeatedly from home health, intellectual developmental disability providers, as well as behavioral health assisted living and long-term care that the funding available at the federal level has really not been enough to address the specific needs of these industries,” she said.
The application process for the funding starts soon.
