SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A 62-year-old South Jersey woman is accused of attacking a person with autism with a stun gun last month.
Yolanda Johnson, of Clayton, is facing several charges, including third-degree aggravated assault.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said Johnson used a stun gun to stab an adult with autism, who was in her care at the time, as they tried to leave home on Jan. 30.
The victim, who is not being identified, reported the alleged incident to police a few days later. That prompted a search of the home, where officers found a blue stun gun.
Johnson was arrested on Feb. 5 and released on a summons.
If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison for each charge of aggravated assault, endangering a person with a developmental disability, and a weapons offense.
