PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Norristown Police Chief Jacqueline Bailey-Davis has resigned, ending her tenure after less than a year.
Bailey-Davis became the top cop on Jan. 2. She was placed on administrative leave last month, though authorities did not say why.
Officials say day-to-day operations will continue as normal while they search for a new police chief.
Whoever takes over will lead a police force of about 100 sworn personnel and civilian staff. The Montgomery County municipality has around 35,000 residents.
