PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are investigating two homicides overnight — the first one in Feltonville and the other in Strawberry Mansion.

Around 11 p.m. Monday, police said a white car drove by a gas station at Front Street and Hunting Park Avenue and fatally shot 35-year-old Jameel Cooper in the chest.

A second young man, a 21-year-old, was injured by a bullet that grazed his stomach. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Across town about an hour and a half later, a 55-year-old man was found dead inside a car along Ridge Avenue, near Diamond Street. He was shot in the head and abdomen.

Homicide Unit detectives are continuing to investigate both killings.

As always, there is a $20,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest for any unsolved homicide in the city.
