PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are on the scene of a triple shooting in North Philadelphia.
Gunfire erupted just before 10 a.m. Wednesday inside and outside of a property on the 2800 block of North 20th Street, near Lehigh Avenue.
Police said a 49-year-old woman was shot 11 times throughout her body. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
A 27-year-old woman was shot six times and is in stable condition at the hospital, according to police. A 29-year-old man was shot three times in the leg and is also stable.
Neighbors believe the victims were a mother and her adult children.
Throughout the morning, police were in and out of the home and the entire block was shut down with rows of police caution tape. Investigators focused on an area in front of the home where several plastic garden chairs were strewn about. Several evidence markers were on the ground.
There’s no word yet on any arrests or what may have sparked this shooting.
