PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities have arrested a Northeast Philadelphia man on child sex abuse material charges, as well as invasion of privacy.
Jason Sheasley was taken into custody last week at his home on Hartel Avenue, accused by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office of sharing videos showing children being sexually abused. Authorities said he also recorded a woman in “states of undress” without her consent.
The 40-year-old faces a dozen charges, including possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, invasion of pricary and criminal use of a communication facility.
Prosecutors said Sheasley did this before. He is a registered sex offender, convicted in New Jersey in 2016. The details of that case were not immediately available.
Sheasley remains in custody on $500,000 bail.
