PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Investigators are examining whether bones were found at the “house of horrors” in Olney and working to determine whether they are human or animal.

The Philadelphia medical examiner has been at the home multiple times this week for similar discoveries, which were determined to be animal bones.

Philadelphia police and the FBI are searching the property on Chew Avenue to try to figure out what happened to seven missing women.

The home used to belong to the late R.C. Horsch, an amateur pornographer. Police say he preyed on women struggling with addiction and used them in his violent pornography.

Horsch’s son, Eugene, also lived there. He is in federal custody on firearms and drug charges.

Earlier this week, investigators tested the home for potential blood and other DNA evidence and took some samples for further testing.

So far, no human remains have been found during the investigation.

Authorities are continuing to scour through more than 1 million pieces of digital evidence found in the home.
