PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, the man at the center of the Olney “house of horrors” investigation, was a federal informant, according to newly unsealed court documents.

The records, which were revealed following a motion filed by The Philadelphia Inquirer, show Horsch secured a sharply reduced prison sentence by providing information to investigators.

Horsch died last year. The extent of his cooperation with the feds is unknown.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Justin Ashenfelter said, “The essence of the information he provided to the government... is not subject to disclosure or public consumption.”

Horsch was sentenced to just over four years in prison for a 2009 drug and gun case. He had faced at least 15 years behind bars.

Investigators are still collecting evidence regarding what happened to seven missing women linked to Horsch and the home on Chew Avenue in Olney, which is now owned by his son, Eugene.
