PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities have arrested a man suspected of shooting a Philadelphia Parking Authority agent on Black Friday and a gas station worker in New York City days beforehand.

Termaine Saulsbury, 39 from Southwest Philadelphia, was arrested at an abandoned home near the corner of North 55th Street and West Girard Avenue.

Philadelphia police and U.S. Marshals located him Wednesday. He attempted to barricade himself, but came out after 30 minutes of negotiation. He did not have a weapon on him at the time.

Saulsbury allegedly shot Timothy McKenzie, 37, on Nov. 25 just before 4 p.m. on Frankford Avenue near Sellers Street.

McKenzie was shot in both the ear and shoulder and was initially listed in critical condition, but was recovering at home.

On Nov. 22, Saulsbury allegedly shot a Sunoco gas station worker in the neck, similar to the shooting of McKenzie. Police said that the shooter in both incidents wore similar clothing and is left-handed.

Capt. John Walker said last week that other characteristics of the cases were similar enough to lead to Saulsbury being a suspect in both shootings.

"I want to thank and commend the Philadelphia Police Department, U.S. Marshals, and other law enforcement agencies for their excellent investigative work in apprehending a suspect so quickly,” PPA Executive Director Rich Lazer said.

“Knowing a suspect is now in police custody is a relief for our whole workforce and our families.”
