PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles’ hunt for a Super Bowl starts Sunday with a 4:30 p.m. faceoff in South Philadelphia against the 7-seed Green Bay Packers in their first playoff game. And the best news of the week: All key Eagles players will be available.
Jalen Hurts formally cleared the NFL's concussion protocol Friday following a big hit in the game against the Washington Commanders two weeks back.
Rushing champion Saquon Barkley spoke with reporters after Hurts' practice earlier in the week.
“I think it looked great,” Barkley said. “Obviously, you’ve got to get back into the flow of things, not being on the field for however long he's been, but he's a pro.”
Pass catchers A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert are all healthy and ready to play as well. So the Eagles will have no notable absences.
Sunday's playoff game is a rematch of the Birds' Week 1 matchup against Green Bay in Brazil, when Barkley made his debut and rushed for 109 yards en route to a 34-29 win.
Hurts says today's squad is even better than they were in September...
“The reality is we've seen how we've evolved and we've progressed over the year, and so I think in all three phases, we're a whole different team,” he said.
The Packers this week have also said they feel like a different team since September.
