PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The School District of Philadelphia announced Wednesday night that two more schools would be moving to virtual learning for the remainder of this week.

Fitler Academic Plus and William L. Sayre High School will shift to virtual learning on Thursday and Friday.

This now means 101 schools have gone to online learning for the week.

The district said these decisions to go virtual are based on staffing issues because of the surge of the COVID-19 omicron variant.
