SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged for allegedly trying to meet up for sex with children in Mount Laurel.
New Jersey State Police said 27-year-old Nazim Torres of Philadelphia self-identified as a “pedo” in text messages with an undercover officer.
Investigators said Torres eventually agreed to pay the undercover officer $200 for sex with two kids, and he was arrested at the hotel in Mount Laurel where they agreed to meet.
New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport said the state will use every tool available to track down people who target and abuse children.
Torres faces a long list of charges, including first-degree conspiracy to commit human trafficking of a child, second-degree attempted promoting prostitution of a child and two counts of second-degree attempted aggravated sexual assault. He potentially faces up to decades behind bars if convicted.
