Philadelphia police investigate two shootings hours apart Sunday morning

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men were injured in separate shootings hours apart Sunday morning, Philadelphia police said.

Authorities said the first incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on 60th Street near Race Street in West Philadelphia.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the knee and buttocks. He was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition. Police are searching for a thin man wearing all-black clothing in connection with the shooting.

Hours later in North Philadelphia, close to 7 a.m., police said another man was shot along the 4300 block of North American Street. He is in stable condition. Police are looking for the shooter.

No arrests have been made in either of the shootings. Investigations are underway.
