PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Police are offering a reward to get help finding a hit-and-run driver involved in a deadly accident in Northeast Philadelphia last year.

Capt. Mark Overwise says police are looking for the driver of a Chevy Uplander from model years 2005 to 2009, that struck 60-year-old Saixiang Lin at Summerdale Avenue and St. Vincent Street on Nov. 10, 2020.

"The vehicle that struck her did not stop. Saixiang was transported to Jefferson Torresdale hospital where she later died from her injuries," Overwise said.

He says surveillance video from the area shows that the car later parked at Tyson and Algon avenues.

Overwise described the video: "The driver gets out of the vehicle and he looks around to check. He walks back.  He's actually walking back toward the direction of where Saixiang Lin was struck."

The city is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of the driver responsible.

"She was only 60 when she passed away," the woman's daughter-in-law, Joy Lin, said.

She says there's nothing more the family can do than give her mother-in-law justice.

"We want to give her peace. We want to catch this guy. We want her to have peace in heaven," Lin said.
