CRESCENTVILLE (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are looking for two gunmen they said fired dozens of shots into a Jeep in Crescentville early Monday morning, leaving two men dead.
Authorities said it happened around 3:45 a.m., near the intersection of Adams and Tabor Avenues.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said surveillance video shows a white Honda sedan pulling up beside the parked Jeep.
"Someone gets out of the driver's side, someone also gets out of the passenger's side, and they begin firing shots into this Jeep," he said.
Small said the shooters then got back into the white Honda sedan and were last seen on Adams Avenue, heading towards Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police found one victim, a 32-year-old man, dead in the driver's seat of the Jeep. The other victim, a man police estimated was in his 20s or 30s, was found dead on the sidewalk.
Investigators also found around 40 spent shell casings near the Jeep, and a gun with blood on it was found in a truck parked around the corner from the crime scene. Authorities are investigating whether that gun has any connection to the shooting.
