SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities said a child riding an electric bicycle was killed after being struck by a UPS truck in Burlington County, New Jersey.
State police said that it was just before 11 o'clock Tuesday morning on North Firelane Road in Southampton Township.
Police have not yet identified the victim or given the child's exact age.
A UPS spokesperson said the company is heartbroken by the tragedy and sends its thoughts and prayers to the family and loved ones of the victim.
The spokesperson also said UPS is fully cooperating with authorities and that an investigation is ongoing.
