HAVERFORD, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Lower Merion police are looking for a man they say attempted to rob an 84-year-old man outside a TD Bank on Lancaster Avenue in Haverford on Tuesday.
The suspect attempted to grab the victim's keys and some paperwork, leading to a brief struggle.
Police say the 84-year-old fell, injuring his hand and his head. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. The suspect fled south on foot toward Haverford College.
Investigators believe the suspect was hanging around the bank parking lot prior to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Lower Merion police.
