PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia police officer and a pregnant woman were hurt in a three-car crash in the Northeast early Monday morning.
Investigators say around 2:30 a.m., a speeding driver blew through a red light at the intersection of Bustleton and Tyson avenues. The driver hit another car, which was carrying the pregnant woman. Her car then hit a police SUV, sending it into the side of a pharmacy.
The officer was trapped inside and had to be pulled out.
Both the officer and the woman are in stable condition.
There's no word yet on what happened to the driver who allegedly caused the crash.
