When the argument escalated, police said the other person pulled out a gun and opened fire, shooting the teen in the head.
The gunman, who was wearing a black ski mask and black jacket, fled through an alley, according to investigators. The teen was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
Police also said they recovered a weapon from the victim.
