PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)  A pregnant woman was assaulted during an argument over seating at a kindergarten graduation in the city’s East Germantown neighborhood, according to police.

It was just before 10:30 a.m. Monday, when police said officers responded to Mastery John Wister Elementary School along Bringhurst Street.

Investigators said two parents got into a fight over seating arrangements at the graduation ceremony.

That's when, police said, one of the women attacked the other, a 31-year-old who is pregnant, hitting her in the head several times and slamming her against a wall. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Northwest Detectives said they are looking for the suspect, who was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
