PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A pregnant woman has died following a shooting Saturday night in the Lawncrest neighborhood.
Authorities said it happened on Palmetto Street, near Benner Street, just after 8:30 p.m. The 32-year-old woman, who was seven months pregnant, was shot in the head and stomach.
She was transported to a hospital where she died just after 9 p.m. The unborn child was pronounced dead minutes later.
No weapons were found and no arrests were made. The motive for the shooting is unclear at this time.
