PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Montgomery County say 12 more women have come forward since they arrested an urgent care employee last month for inappropriate contact with patients.

Ramon Garcia, 33, was a medical assistant at Carbon Health Urgent Care in Jenkintown.

He was arrested and charged on March 11 after one woman said he watched her urinate in a cup for a work-related drug test. Another woman came forward about a week later after he told her he was a nurse and inappropriately touched her during a pelvic exam.

Among the new allegations, Garcia also lied to patients about his title, then watched them change into gowns. In two instances, he’s accused of hands-on examinations of intimate body parts. The criminal complaint also alleges he secretly took photos and videos of women in exam rooms and the urgent care bathroom.

Some of the women say Garcia repeatedly asked them out on dates, including one who says he made lewd comments and gestures about her boyfriend.

Garcia’s lawyer says they are reviewing the new allegations and will litigate what he calls the “false claims” in open court.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says Garcia took advantage of the trust patients put in actual medical providers, and he credits the women for having the courage to reach out to police.

He is facing an additional 24 charges, including aggravated indecent assault, harassment, invasion of privacy, and impersonating a nurse.
