PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A New Mexican restaurant is opening in Suburban Square, called Rosa Mexicano.
General Manager Brian Harmon describes the food as an “elevated fiesta.”
“We like to call it in the business a scratch kitchen. We don’t even have a freezer in the restaurant, so everything comes in fresh, prepared daily,” he said. That includes guacamole, ceviche and tacos.
They’re also working on their tequila collection.
“There’s going to be well over 100 bottles back behind the bar. We’re about halfway there right now,” he said.
And, they plan to make use of their expansive outdoor patio space. Harmon expects it to be a hit not just with their human guests.
“We want to be known as the dog-friendliest restaurant that there is in the area because of our large patio,” he added. “We’re going to have Rosa Mexicano logo dog bowls for when people bring their dogs here and dog treats.”
