SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A high school teacher in South Jersey faces charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teen at school.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said Jason Howe, 26, of Runnemede had sexual intercourse with a student who is at least 16 years old but under 18. Howe is a chemistry teacher at Sterling High School as well a track and basketball coach.
According to investigators, there is only one known victim but they will look into any additional allegations that are reported.
Howe was arrested on April 3 and charged with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held pending a detention hearing.
He has also been suspended by the school district and barred from school property.
