PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are trying to find a man who shot at a security guard after he was asked to leave Dilworth Park Monday night.
Around 11:30 p.m., police said a man got into a fight with a security guard.
The guard had asked the man and the group he was with to leave, as the ice skating rink was closed. The park at City Hall is often busy with families enjoying ice skating and other activities together during the day.
After the guard asked them to leave, police said the man fired two shots at the guard. He was not hit.
One of the bullets hit a nearby tent that serves refreshments during the day.
"The security guard was chasing a small group of individuals and one of them did not want to leave," reiterated Chief Inspector Scott Small.
No injuries were reported. Police said the security guard was not armed, so he did not return gunfire.
Police say the suspect is a man in his mid-20s with a thin build, about 6 feet tall, with a full beard a mustache, and silver braces with black rubber bands. He was wearing a New Balance t-shirt, a dark-hooded jacket, jeans with designer holes, and light-colored sneakers.

The suspect was last seen running in the direction of South Broad Street.
Police say not to approach the suspect if you see him, but to call 911 instead. He is considered armed and dangerous.
