PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- SEPTA says the regional rails, subways, trolleys and buses are operating Tuesday, but bus riders should prepare for some challenges.

"Thirty-six city routes are on detour; 28 suburban routes are on detour," SEPTA's assistant general manager Scott Sauer said.

Sauer says he's hoping to gradually get buses back on their regular routes.

"We have a really good working relationship with the city streets department and the other municipalities, and they do a real good job of especially getting our high-priority routes, the major arteries, freed up for us. I'm optimistic that they'll be working hard throughout the day to get us back."

He says the Market-Frankford, Norristown High Speed Line and the Broad Street subway are running regular schedules.

The 310 and 311 Horsham Breeze and the 132 Telford bus routes are suspended for the day.

Sauer says platforms were shoveled, and parking lots plowed, overnight so regional rail riders can make it to their stations.

At Philly International Airport, flight operations are resuming, but there are still some cancellations after more than 100 flights at the airport were grounded on Monday.

Posted flight schedules show 10 departures and a dozen arrivals were canceled through noon Tuesday.
