PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A car struck multiple people near an Easter carnival in South Philadelphia on Saturday night, leaving four people, including a child, injured, according to police.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. at 7th Street and Packer Avenue, near the annual Easter carnival hosted by the Southeast Youth Athletic Association (SEYAA).

Authorities said a 68-year-old man was driving a silver 2004 Toyota when he experienced a medical emergency.

As a result, his car hit four people who were exiting the carnival, injuring them as well as himself. Police said three adults suffered broken bones, and a 3-year-old child was bruised on the head but remains alert and talking.

Medics took the pedestrians and the driver to the hospital for treatment. All of them are in stable condition.
