The original story follows:
DELRAN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Crews have been working through the night to repair a collapsed sewer line in Delran, New Jersey. Affected residents are being asked to limit their water use.
There is a massive crater in the middle of the road at Fifth Street and Leon Avenue in the Cambridge section of Delran, a residential neighborhood. A section of Leon Avenue collapsed on itself.
Delran Township Sewer Department and Public Works crews have been working through the night and early morning hours. Officials did not say how this happened or if the freezing temperatures led to this mess. Delran also saw serious flooding from a winter storm earlier this month.
Residents in the Burlington County neighborhood are being asked to limit water use to only what is necessary because crews had to shut down the pump station. Residents should cut back on things like running sinks, showers and dishwashers; flushing toilets; and doing laundry.
Officials did not say when they expected the issue to be resolved.
