PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 28-year-old man was shot near a day care center in South Philadelphia Thursday morning.
Around 9:30 a.m., the victim was shot in the torso at the intersection of 33rd and Wharton streets, near the Grays Ferry Early Learning Academy.
Parents said they received a message from the day care saying there was a shooting and they needed to pick up their children, according to NBC10.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
