PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — People who are on SNAP benefits or food stamps are reporting an outage that is preventing them from using their benefits.
According to Downdetector, there have been hundreds of reported issues with EBT cards in the Philadelphia area since midnight.
A sign on the door at a Wawa in Bala Cynwyd read “no EBT” Thursday morning. The manager said all of their other debit and credit card systems are working normally.
KYW Newsradio reached out to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for comment.
