
SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Gloucester County EMT has admitted to stealing cash from a patient while he was providing aid to her.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said 44-year-old Antoni Simmons, of Glassboro, pleaded guilty to stealing $220 from the victim’s purse when he was dispatched to help her on April 30 in Newfield.
Surveillance video shows Simmons rummaging through the victim’s purse.
As part of the plea deal, he will serve one year of probation and forfeit his job with Gloucester County EMS. He is also barred from public employment in New Jersey.
