PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police have released surveillance video of a man pistol-whipping and trying to rob a worker at a grocery store in Strawberry Mansion.
It happened around 2 a.m. on April 18 inside the store on Ridge Avenue, near 29th Street.
The video shows the man, wearing a long hooded robe, beating the worker over the head with a gun multiple times.
Police said at one point, the gun went off and a bullet went through the ceiling.
The two argued until the gunman left in a silver Crown Victoria.
