PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was killed during what investigators believe was a robbery in Montgomery County. Then later, the suspected get-away car was found on fire.
William Carter, 35, was identified by investigators as the man shot and killed after a robbery Saturday night.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office says it happened a little before 8 p.m. near West Wood and Powell streets in Norristown.

Investigators believe Carter was visiting someone when he went out to his car and was attacked. At that time, investigators say, three men exited a gray Toyota Rav4 and approached him, while a fourth man stayed behind in the driver’s seat.
In surveillance footage, one of the suspects is seen pushing Carter against a wall. Officials say one of the men fatally shot Carter before the group ran back to the vehicle and sped off.
Around 3 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to a vehicle fire less than a mile away from the shooting scene.
There, the District Attorney’s Office says, officers found a gray Toyota Rav4 on fire. It is believed to be the same vehicle connected to the shooting. It was originally stolen from Cheltenham in December.
The District Attorney’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrests of the four suspects.
