PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia SWAT rushed to the scene of a stolen FedEx truck near the Grays Ferry section of the city.

Police believed the suspect was held up inside the stolen FedEx truck at the intersection of 47th Street and Limore Avenue, near Woodland Avenue.

The street was closed at one point. Neighbors heard the the loud bangs and became concerned.

“Sometimes there is a shooting, but it’s usually a little farther away, and our neighbors keep a look out and take care of each other,” said Marisa, who lives in the neighborhood. “So this is different. This isn’t something I’ve dealt with before.”

Stun grenades were fired at the vehicle before SWAT entered it.

Officials say they found no one inside. The suspect remains on the loose.

Police say no one was hurt. A police tow truck removed the FedEx truck from the scene.
