SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A 15-year-old girl was hit by a car while crossing the street to board a school bus Thursday morning in Gloucester Township.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hickstown Road and Heatherwood Drive.
According to the police report, the bus was stopped and its red lights were flashing when the student was struck. They said the driver ignored the warnings.
The driver remained on the scene.
Police said the teen was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital.
The victim's name was not released. She is a student at the Camden County Technical School Gloucester Township campus.
