PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking to identify a trio of suspects they believe are connected to a double shooting last month in the city’s Frankford neighborhood.
On March 25, around 5 p.m., Stephen Young, 33, was shot in the chest and killed while at the Arrott Transportation Center along Frankford Avenue, near Arrott Street.
Police say another man was shot in the back and leg but survived.
On Monday, April 22, officials released surveillance video of the moments leading up to the shooting. In it, they captured three suspects: two men and one woman.
Both men have thin builds and are about 6 feet tall. One was wearing a black jacket over a red sweatshirt with unique-patterned jeans. The other — in a dark jacket, jeans and white sneakers.
The woman is described as heavy-set with long braids and was last seen in a tan jacket and leggings.
At times, they are walking in what looks like an alleyway, in front of a store, and sometimes in the hallway of an apartment building walkup.
One of the male suspects was shown holding a phone in one hand and large gun in the other while sitting on the top of the stairs inside the building. He is seen practicing pointing the gun a few times.
Officials urge anyone who may know something to call in with a tip at 215-686-8477, even if it remains anonymous.
There’s a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
