Many of the shops have moved perishables into a refrigerator in the basement. Gregory Mason with By George Pizza says his business and others are just trying to get by until repairs are made.

“We have a refrigerator in the basement, so we took all our food and took it to the refrigerator. So we’re going to wait and see when they get the power back on.”

Jake Heller with Downtown Cheese spent Thursday morning cleaning out the shop's huge display case.

“For us, it’s a little nerve-racking," he said. "A lot of this stuff has a shorter shelf life outside of the fridge. We’re making sure we’re taking care of that and putting it on dry ice.”

Management says they are working on it and, while they couldn’t give a concrete answer on when the transformer will be fixed, they are hopeful things will be back up and running by late Thursday.
