A house in Voorhees, New Jersey caught fire on Friday night at around 7:00 p.m. As it turns out, the home belonged to 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey.

Philly Voice reports that Maxey was spending Christmas Eve with his family at the residence and that, thankfully, nobody was harmed in the fire.

Footage of the fire shows plumes of smoke coming out of the house, with firefighters surrounding the building and several ladders propped up in an attempt to combat the blaze from all sides.

No cause of the fire has been determined to this point.

The day before Christmas Eve, Maxey posted a strong stat line that we've gotten used to at this point in the season, dropping 17 points and a +9 plus/minus in a two-point loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He's been perhaps the second-most important player to the team's success on the year — though still significantly behind Joel Embiid — and has admirably filled the large void at point guard left by Ben Simmons.

When he's on the floor, the 76ers have a 112.2 offensive rating, which would rank in the top eight in the league. When he's sitting, that plummets to 106.5, which would rank in the bottom five.
