PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Upper Darby Police Department said it “located” a person authorities wanted to talk to in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy last week.
Police released surveillance photos and video of the individual Tuesday evening, wearing a mask and an Under Armour hoodie. By Wednesday, authorities said the “male has been located.”
Police said the man is not a suspect, but officials think he may have seen something that can help their investigation into the death of 15-year-old Michael Garr.
Garr was a sophomore at Upper Darby High School. He was stabbed and killed Friday night in Drexel Hill.
Upper Darby police also released a surveillance image on Sunday of a couple holding hands on Bridge Street around the same time as the stabbing. Authorities are trying to identify and speak with them in connection with the investigation.
The Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. An investigation is ongoing.
